A dedicated fleet and a storage facility under one roof
Moving universal waste is more than driving a load from one address to another. Lamps break, batteries need to stay apart, and the paperwork has to follow the material the whole way. That is why U-Waste Recycling Solutions runs its own dedicated fleet and its own storage facility, so the same company is responsible for the material from the moment it leaves your site until it is staged for the next leg.
You have two ways to get material to us. We can pick it up from your location, or you can drop it off at our facility at 14730 Hempstead Road in Houston. Customers who keep a small volume and drive past now and then often prefer to drop off. Customers with a loading dock and a steady flow usually prefer to have the truck come to them.
Either way, the material is inventoried and stored at the facility under our TCEQ permit as a Large Quantity Handler of Universal Waste before it moves on to a permitted, state approved off-site recycler.

How quickly the truck can reach you, and how far we can go
We have our own transportation vehicles that can arrive at your location to collect the recyclable materials, in most cases within 48 hours. Because the vehicles are ours, the timing does not depend on another company's route sheet. When you call 713-360-7310, we are scheduling our own truck, not asking a third party for a window.
Houston is home base, but the customers are not all in Houston. We serve customers throughout the country through a network of strategic transportation partners nationwide. When a shipment has to travel beyond our own routes, those partners carry it, and the material still ends up handled to the same standard at the other end.
If you run sites in more than one state, this is the part that matters. One call to one company arranges the shipment, instead of you hunting for a local hauler in every city.
Before the truck arrives: packaging that makes the handoff clean
Materials should be properly packaged prior to shipment. It is a short sentence with a lot of practical weight, because a load that is packed well loads fast, rides safely and unloads without surprises.
For lamps, that means boxed so the tubes cannot shift and snap against one another. For batteries, it means keeping them in containers and sorting by type so different chemistries are not tumbled together. For ballasts, it means one sturdy box instead of a loose pile. If you are not sure how to stage something, ask us before the truck is booked.
Our office is open Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and closed on weekends. Call during those hours and we will talk through the packaging, the pick up address and when the vehicle can reach you.
