On-Site Collection Program

A weekly, monthly or daily pick up schedule built around how fast your material piles up.

Picking a schedule that matches how fast the material piles up

Every building fills its waste containers at its own speed. A facilities shop that swaps tubes across a few floors might see a full lamp box once a quarter, while a warehouse with a maintenance crew on every shift can fill a battery pail in a few weeks. The program is built around that difference, so you choose a weekly, monthly or daily pick up schedule instead of taking whatever interval a hauler happens to run.

The practical test is space. Spent lamps are long, fragile and awkward, and batteries need their own containers away from foot traffic. If the staging corner is filling faster than you would like, move to a shorter interval. If containers sit half empty between visits, stretch the schedule out. The right answer is the one that keeps the material in a small, tidy footprint until the truck arrives.

Houston customers can talk this through with us by phone at 713-360-7310. Tell us what you generate and how much room you have, and we will help you settle on a rhythm you can keep.

What a collection visit looks like

We collect with our own vehicles, so the people arriving at your door work for the same company that stores and ships your material afterward. Full containers are taken off the floor and empty ones are put in their place, which means your staging area is ready for the next cycle before the truck leaves.

Materials should be properly packaged prior to shipment, and that is the one thing we ask of the site. Tubes boxed so they cannot roll or snap, batteries in their containers with the terminals covered, ballasts together in one box instead of loose. A little care at the staging corner makes the handoff quick and keeps the pickup from turning into a sorting job on your dock.

From there the containers travel to our facility at 14730 Hempstead Road in Houston, where they are inventoried and stored under our TCEQ permit as a Large Quantity Handler of Universal Waste, ahead of transfer to permitted, state approved off-site recyclers.

Lamps, batteries and ballasts on one schedule

One of the quiet costs of recycling is running several vendors, each with their own calendar. The On-Site Collection Program keeps your lamps, batteries and ballasts on a single pick up schedule, so one visit clears the staging corner instead of three separate trips arriving on different days.

To get started, contact us to arrange shipment. We will talk through what you have, where it is kept and which schedule fits, then set the first pick up. Our office hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and we are closed on weekends.

If your needs change, the schedule changes with them. A renovation that throws off a surge of old fixtures, or a quiet season that slows everything down, is a reason to call and adjust, not a reason to leave full containers waiting.
